It's our aim to enter every home we build for a building award. Entering a house for an HIA award requires us to work to the highest standards. It's very competitive. We explain this strategy to every one of our trade subcontractors and it motivates them to do their best work. That feeds back into the quality of work they do and is a key reason we are a regular winner, one of the most successful builders in the western suburbs of Perth, Western Australia.

There were a lot of details we had to work through but we are thrilled with the overall quality and I know the owners are thrilled as well. We have downed a few bottles of bubbly together, so that's always a good sign.

... contrast between modern materials such as polished concrete and polished plaster, set alongside significant rustic timber ...
A deserving winner, the home is innovative in several areas. Sustainability is foremost and water conservation, by way of harvesting rainwater, is integral. Hydroponic underfloor heating is in place and recycled timer is prominent.
The layout was casual yet refined, to ensure every centimetre of space was maximised.
The design featured well-zoned areas, with the living areas having direct access to the outdoors while maximising correct orientation and including many well thought-out sustainability initiatives.

A focus on solar design principles and an unerring devotion by the builder to the client's brief are special features of this renovation and addition. The 1940's Californian bungalow has had a thorough renovation, impressive in both design and detail.
From the use of the original stove-front as a letterbox to recycled timbers and joinery, every facet of this home shows the special working relationship between builder and client.
